A New Beginning

Hey guys, just a heads up, I was having some major graphics glitches until I updated my drivers, so I wasn't able to take any pics until just recently. Hope you enjoy Portia's story!

Hi, I'm Portia Lyeman. I just moved to Legacia, and I'm really hoping for a new beginning, a home. I guess it's so important to me because growing up I never really had a home. I was a military brat, and our family moved so often that I never really had a chance to put down roots. My mom died when I was 14, and after that, what little home life I had really fell apart. My dad, when he was home, was drunk, and I was left to my own devices. At least I was an only child! I can't imagine what it would have been like to have little siblings to take care of. Although maybe it would have kept me out of some trouble. I got to hanging around with the wrong crowd, and, well, I'm sure you can imagine the rest. But I finally got my life turned around, moved to Legacia, and actually joined the Army here. I know, weird, but I guess the devil you know is better than the one you don't, right? I used my sign on bonus to buy a huge plot of land here. Looking back, I'm not so sure that was the wisest decision... I actually lived on the lawn for a while there. But promotions came, and I was finally able to start building a house, no, a home. I've decided that the most important thing to me is to have a really strong, close family. In fact, my dream is to have six children married and living close by.

Anyway, not to long after I moved to town, I met this great guy, Kennedy Cox. Maybe you've heard of him? Well, we hit it off right away. I swear, I saw lightning bolts! (two of them, as a matter of fact) So I convinced him that we should get married sooner rather than later, and before you know it, we had a daughter! Unfortunately, we couldn't afford a camera yet, but trust me, she was the most beautiful baby. Kennedy and I were so excited. Not long after Leona was born, we had a burglar! He made off with our excersize machine. The cops got there in time, and won a fight with the guy, but we never did get our stuff back. Oh well. Kennedy is in the Athletics field, so that excersize machine was pretty important to us. I still get steamed ever time I think about that dratted burglar.

Time passed, and Leona became the most beautiful little girl. I promise to put some pictures of her up soon, but my computer just won't work right now. Oh, and I can't wait to tell you about the others! But that'll have to wait, I'm off to work.
